Artist Statement

I designed lafina having in mind Ikaros' deers, their transformation from the rounded form of the ornaments to the delicate lines of two dimensions, so suited to the floral decoration.
I was also thinking of the strong female presence at Ikaros factory. The hands of the women, who had to quickly decorate and complete the ceramic with designs cause me great admiration and emotion, due to my origin and love for everything that adorns a utilitarian object, our lives, our nails. Decoration and love Mr. Loos.
